GRANTS AND DONATIONS
|
WHO ARE OUR DONORS? Currently Nyenga Home care mobile Clinic while funded separately from the hospital functions as a department of the hospital. Prior to the involvement of the Order of St Camillus (OSC) in 2000 the department had in effect ceased to function due to lack of financial resources. An injection of capital from the OSC allowed for the refurbishment and extension of an already existing dilapidated building on the hospital site to serve as an appropriately equipped clinic. Ongoing funding from OSC together with funding from Irish AID enabled the HIV/AIDS program to resume and gradually expand over the subsequent years. Irish AID funding ceased in September 2007 prior to the involvement of AIDS Relief/CRS Uganda. Since then OSC has continued funding the program in relation to material support and hospitalization fees together with AIDS Relief/CRS which is particularly funding the programmatic implementation of the HIV/AIDS program. Central to the implementation of this program, AIDS Relief provides ongoing clinical and programmatic support supervision with monthly, quarterly and annual reports duly submitted to Center for Disease Control (CDC) Atlanta Georgia |
